About

Pepper’s Run

Hey there, thanks for checking us out!

My name is Sarah, and I started Pepper’s Run with my partner Tim in 2022. Pepper’s Run is a regenerative micro flower farm that shares a border with the Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park. Our proximity to the park means plenty of wildlife and a neverending chorus of birdsong, whose melody changes with the seasons.

I moved to Chiltern from Brisbane mid-pandemic, leaving my career in the property industry behind. The surrounding environment, and especially the wildflowers of the National Park, inspired me to begin growing on our patch.

With deep respect for the land and earth, we began slowly building the flower patch. Always learning, engaging and listening, we intend to be guided by the seasons as Pepper’s Run continues to grow.

Pepper is our dog, and she runs the place.

What we do

Pepper’s Run is a micro flower farm practising regenerative, organic farming techniques and following the principles of permaculture.

Giving more to the earth than we take is our goal.

What this looks like:

  • Regeneration of the soil in which we grow our flowers to increase the soil health and microbiota.

  • Reforestation of our paddocks to prevent erosion, promote biodiversity and provide habitat for wildlife.

  • Creating abundance for the benefit of future generations – abundance of habitat for wildlife, of soil foundations for future growth, and of knowledge in our community.
